Flexible Ceramic Tile-001
FlexCeram Thin Bendable Porcelain Sheets deliver the appearance and wear-resistance of porcelain with breakthrough flexibility for curved and irregular surfaces. Manufactured as ultra-thin, high-strength porcelain veneer (typ. 3–5 mm), FlexCeram bends to small radii without cracking and installs directly over prepared substrates — greatly reducing demolition and structural load compared to traditional ceramic/stone cladding.
Key benefits include lightweight retrofit, high frost & UV resistance for outdoor use, water resistance for wet-area applications, and excellent color/texture fidelity for natural stone or concrete effects. Typical uses range from curved interior feature walls and column wrapping to exterior façade panels, balcony skirtings and backsplash surfaces. Available in multiple finishes (matte, semi-polished, textured stone-look) and customizable sizes for architects and fabricators.
We supply technical datasheets, sample kits, and recommended adhesives/fixings for each project. Optional factory finishing and custom printing available for high-end architectural projects.
Product Advantage |
Ultra-thin porcelain sheet, thickness: 3–5 mm (typical options).
Bendable/flexible up to specified min bend radius (see Specs).
Lightweight: approx 3–6 kg/m² depending on thickness/finish.
High wear & abrasion resistance — porcelain surface finish.
Waterproof, frost-resistant, UV-stable — suitable for exterior use.
Fire performance: inherently non-combustible ceramic; available with tested fire-rating data.
Wide finishes: natural stone, concrete, marble veins, wood-look, textured options.
Easy to cut, adhesive-bond or mechanical-fix installation; low substrate load.
Curved interior feature walls and columns
Exterior façades and cladding on curved surfaces
Renovation & retrofit over existing substrates (tile, concrete, cement board)
Hotel lobbies, retail storefronts, restaurant feature walls
Bathroom and kitchen backsplashes (wet-area compatible)
Balcony skirtings, lightweight façade panelling for modular builds
Material: Flexible porcelain composite (ceramic surface with flexible backing)
Thickness: 3 mm / 4 mm / 5 mm (SKU-dependent)
Standard sizes: 1220 × 610 mm, 1200 × 600 mm, 2400 × 1200 mm (other sizes available)
Weight: ~3.0–6.0 kg/m² (depends on thickness & finish)
Min bend radius: down to 200–300 mm (for 3–4 mm — verify per SKU)
Surface finish: matte / semi-polished / textured stone / wood grain
Water absorption: <0.5% (porcelain-class performance)
Fire classification: Non-combustible (ceramic) — optional tested ratings available on request
Temperature range: -40°C to +90°C (typical; check project specs)
Packaging: protective interleaving + palletized crating; sample sizes available
Note: The numeric values above are typical manufacturing ranges. Replace with your factory’s measured SKU values and attach the technical datasheet PDF for each SKU.
Prepare substrate: Clean, dry, structurally sound surface. Remove loose paint, contaminants, and level large defects. Ideal substrates: cement board, concrete, properly primed metal, or existing tiles with mechanical key.
Priming & adhesive: Apply recommended flexible adhesive / polymer-modified thinset or contact adhesive per datasheet. For exterior use follow manufacturer adhesive/weatherproofing guidelines.
Positioning: Lay sheet from bottom-up; for curved surfaces wet-set or use contact adhesive method depending on radius. Ensure minimum bend radius per SKU.
Fixing: Use adhesive coverage (≥80% contact for exterior); where required use mechanical fixings (stainless clips/screws) concealed at panel edges.
Grouting/Sealing: If joints are required, use flexible grout/sealant compatible with porcelain and movement; for large expanses consider open joint systems with compatible backing.
Curing & final: Allow adhesive cure per data sheet before load or cleaning; follow cleaning & maintenance guide for finish longevity.
(Provide downloadable Installation PDF and a short installation video link on the page for higher conversions.)
Architect-friendly: Enables complex curved designs without heavy structure or demolition.
Cost & time saving: Retrofit over existing surfaces — less demolition, faster install.
Durable porcelain finish: Combines design fidelity (stone/veneer look) with long-term wear resistance.
Lightweight & low-load: Reduces structure and shipping cost versus natural stone.
Project support: We offer samples, technical datasheets, CAD details, and certified installers list.
Customizable: Multiple finishes and bespoke sizes for high-end projects and brand applications.
